Phoenix, Arizona-Over the holiday weekend on two separate days (November 26th and 30th), Arizona Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol division participated in a challenge to “Drive to Zero fatalities” along with seven other highway patrol or state police agencies who patrol Interstate 40 from North Carolina to California. An Arizona Department Of Public Safety Official said,"The challenge proved to be a success netting only 5 total collision in Arizona, on the busiest travel days of the year. Of the 5 collisions, none resulted in serious injuries. We are proud of the effort of all the highway patrols officers who participated as well as the traveler’s who exercised safe driving to make their final destinations."
